The former heat and power plant in Forst is a vast industrial facility built in 1923 with a unique facade. After a expensive reconstruction and redesign a
regional and international presentation and event center will be established.
The current concept allows for a variety of uses:
- creation of a virtual energy park with international participation
- pilot project "alternative energy" to develop ideas for export / for educational means and to demonstrate environmental-friendly future technology
- meetings, congresses, lectures and education
- events in sience, art and culture in a german-polish-sorbish context; cross-border library project
- small gastronomy areas
- open-air theater and concerts
- offices for business operation
- get together area for women, youth, disabled persons; associations and clubs
- art exhibition hall
